Billing Insurance & Out of Pocket Options

When it comes to billing your insurance, we know how important it is to find a fully licensed therapist. Our team of professionals is here to assist you every step of the way.

Currently, we have a waitlist of approximately 9 months for clients seeking services that can be billed to their insurance. We understand that this wait may seem long, but we assure you that our dedicated staff is committed to providing quality care to each and every individual.

If you would like to be added to our waitlist, please click the link to the left and fill out the form. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and prioritize your request.

At Emmaus Counseling Center, we understand that waiting may not be an option for you. That’s why we offer the opportunity to meet with one of our associate therapists. In most cases you can be seen within a couple of weeks. These dedicated professionals have completed their educational requirements and are ready to provide quality care to you. With little to no wait, you can receive the support you need. While insurance companies require therapists to be fully licensed, our associate therapists are here to offer their expertise. Find the perfect fit for your needs at Emmaus Counseling Center.

Another option is to consider meeting with one of our trained pastoral or Christian counselors. as with Associate Therapists these counselors can meet with you typically within a couple of weeks.  Our counselors specialize in Biblical, Pastoral, and Christian Counselling, offering a unique perspective rooted in faith. Please note that this is not a service covered by insurance, as our counselors are ministry-based and not licensed professionals.

Looking for a another option with shorter wait times? Explore our menu of group therapy and educational groups. We constantly have one or two groups in progress, and we’re working towards expanding our options. Our diverse range of groups covers various topics such as dealing with trauma, setting boundaries, improving marriage, effective parenting, enhancing interpersonal effectiveness, managing distress, regulating emotions, and much more.

At Emmaus Counseling Center, we are committed to providing quality care and addressing the shortage of therapists in our community. As part of our efforts, we have a team of student interns who are completing their Master’s degree requirements. Seeing one of our student interns not only ensures a shorter wait time but also comes with a small administrative fee. It’s important to note that all of our students are closely supervised by licensed professional counselors.

When it comes to finding a counselor having a good fit is vitally important!

We have a diverse training and background for our staff.  All individual therapy is conducted by licensed professional counselors.  We have people trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Therapy, Boundaries Training, Communication Training, and much more.  For children we have child mental health specialists to ensure that interventions are developmentally appropriate. We additionally provide Behavioral Interventions, Play Therapy, Relationship Development Intervention, Why Try Curriculum, and Art Therapy. As you can see with such a wide array of approaches you are bound to find an approach that fits your preference and situation.

Integration With Christian Worldview

Everyone has one, but we don’t often think about it. Our worldview (literally how we view life, people, and circumstances) has a huge impact on how life is approached. All of our therapists operate in a Christian worldview. Now it is not a requirement to be a Christian to receive services from us. However, this worldview informs our approach to counseling. One example is that we view each human being as being imago dei (image of God). We place high value and worth on each individual that comes into our care. The significance of each person leads us to compassion and care. For the Christian, we hope you find our approach sensitive to faith issues and in line with your values. For others, we hope the experience is a positive expression of our healing ministry to your soul. If you have questions please talk with your therapist about how Christian spirituality fits into your counseling services.
